Audi contains A6 price

The revised Audi A6 due in Ireland at the beginning of November will be marginally more expensive than the current version, at €42,100 for the 2.0 TDI 136hp version expected to be the main seller.

The current equivalent is €41,770, but the replacement car will have a brand new engine which offers better performance and significantly lower fuel consumption.

The 139 g/km CO2 emissions will put the car into the B tax band, saving both VRT and road tax costs significantly. A 170hp version of the same engine will be made available later.

At the other end of the scale, an RS6 saloon is also going on sale at a cost of €170,407. This has a 5.0 petrol engine outputting 580hp.

A new S6 will sell for €105,400. In a declining European car market, Audi has managed to increase its market share.

A new V12 TDI is also coming on stream for the Q7 large SUV. It isn’t expected to be a big seller in Ireland, where the largest engine available to date has been a 4.2.
