Hospital staff thanked

Dear Editor
May I offer my deepest gratitude to all the staff at Roscommon County Hospital for their care and attention during my stay there.

From the receptionist to the assessment unit, to the surgeons and nurses and the much forgotten catering and cleaning staff, thank you.

Everyone there is doing a fantastic job and should be proud of the care and a compassion that was shown to me, and all the other patients that were on my ward.

It would be unfair to single out any particular ward, but my stay in St.Brigdet’s Ward was a comforting experience.

My special thanks goes to the nurse who provided me with a ‘bucket’ of tea, and a refill when I most needed it. I won’t mention her name, just in case she gets into ‘trouble’ for the kindest of gestures.

We always hear the odd troubled stay in hospital, but we very rarely hear of the thousands of happy outcomes.

Again my heartfelt thanks to all at Roscommon County Hospital.

Regards
Stephen Ives
