New born lamb, ‘Biscuit’ was photographed by 12-year-old Alexandra Lavin.

‘Biscuits’ is among of a number of newborn lambs that made history over the Christmas period on the Lavin Farm at The Glebe, Tibohine.

The lambs became the very first batch to be born on the farm of Fergus and Maryanne Lavin, and needless to say the new arrivals have created plenty of excitement for their two daughters Alexandra (12) and Arianna (10).

“We had a very busy Christmas and lambed early but it’s just been lovely and beautiful for the kids. Biscuit is flying it too and really should have got a speeding ticket by now!,” laughs Maryanne.

Plenty more arrivals are expected on the farm in the near future, including six sets of twins and one set of triplets.

The Glebe where the Lavins live already has plenty of history behind it, a place where former President of Ireland Douglas Hyde was reared as a young boy.
