Croghan Community Choir to perform at The Dock

Croghan Community Choir will perform at The Dock for the first time on Saturday, November 25th.

On Saturday, November 25th the Croghan Community Choir, otherwise known as Lyrical Locals, take to the stage at The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon, for both a matinée and an evening performance.

These two music-filled shows promise to be musical celebrations of the wonderful and abundant local talent in the surrounding areas of Croghan, Drumlion and Cortober. The matinee concert takes place at 2 p.m. followed by the evening performance at 7 p.m..

The Croghan Community Choir was formed last year and has become an instant success with almost thirty members ranging in age from teenagers to grandparents. The community choir has joined together for these two concerts with local singers, musicians and a specially formed traditional music group, to bring the finest entertainment to audiences.

It was the huge level of talent from within the choir that inspired the idea for these two concerts that will showcase the many wonderful singers and musicians from the community while at the same time raising funds for the local hospice.

Expect an eclectic mix of music from folk to Abba, from traditional Irish to Bruno Mars…… there will be something for everyone!
