The sudden passing on August 19th of Dylan Ward (15), Donegal Town was heard of in the Gurteen area with deep sadness. He was son of Daniel and Fiona (nee Murray), youngest in family of the late Frank Murray of Moydoo, Gurteen. Sincere sympathy is extended to his parents Daniel and Fiona, his sister Leah and relatives of the Murray and Ward families. May his gentle soul rest in Peace.
The death took place on August 19th of Michael McKeon, Deerpark. He was an uncle of Liz Flanagan, Killaraght. Sympathy to his wife Myra and family and all his relatives. May he rest in Peace.

Open Day at Sligo College Tubbercurry (formerly North Connacht College) on Wednesday August 27 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. This is of interest to school leavers and adults returning to education. New course starts in September: special needs, assisting with Disability studies.

One day pilgrimage, for our Cluster of Parishes, on Tuesday, September 9th. 30 seat bus departs Gurteen, opposite Centra carpark, 7.30 a.m. sharp. Pick up in Church carpark, Ballymote, at 7.50 a.m., to arrive by 10 a.m.. Boat crossing is10 minutes. Tea/coffee & scones on arrival; lunch - soup & sandwiches.
