STROKESTOWN

PARKRUN UPDATE

The runners were flying around the course, and there were lots of PBs to report. First of all, fair play to first finisher across the line, Frank Murphy, with an impressive time of 20:43. He was followed by Mikey Kavanagh with a parkrun PB of 22:30. The first two female finishers were Sarah Shiel, in at a PB of 24:39 and Gillian Regan at 25:08. Other brilliant runners that came in with PBs were Ciaran Moran, Killian Owens, Odhran Hall, Rowan Hall, Katie O'Connor, Aoibhinn Lavin and Susan Compton. A shout out as well to Isla and Sharon Threlfall, who joined the group all the way from Hertford, England after travelling over earlier that morning. It is great to see parkrun tourism bringing visitors to Strokestown. Thank you most of all to the team of volunteers who helped run the show on the day.
