STROKESTOWN

ROSCOMMON ROCKETS CLUB INCLUSION CAMP 

Roscommon Sports Partnership has announced the return of the Roscommon Rockets Club Inclusion Camp with games, activities, music and plenty of fun, this camp is all about encouraging participation, building confidence, and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to be active and included. The camp will be held at Strokestown Community & Sports Centre on Tuesday, July 21st and Wednesday, July 22nd. Ages 5–10, 10 a.m. – 11.30 a.m., ages 11–17, 12 noon – 1.30 p.m.; ages 18+, 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost is €20 for both days. Registration via Eventbrite (online booking only). Attendees requiring support to participate in the activities or who need support with toileting/personal care must attend with a parent/carer support. Please bring water and a snack. Activities will be supervised and delivered in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

SCDA FORTNIGHTLY DRAW 

Results of the SCDA fortnightly draw held on July 7th - numbers drawn - 2, 4,11 and 20. Three Match Three winners – Dee Hussey, Ballyleagaue, Thomas Lee, Croghan and Monica Leydon, Scramogue. Next draw on Tuesday, July 21st at SCDA Office. Thank you for your continued support.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE 

The Achonry and Elphin diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from August 28th to September 2nd, inclusive. Those who travel as part of the assisted pilgrim section will stay in Accueil Notre Dame, which is situated near the grotto and sanctuary are. They will be cared for by the diocesan pilgrimage care team while in Lourdes.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK 

The Achonry and Elphin Diocesan pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Sunday, August 16th. There will also be a family day offering various activities for families with children of all ages.

In the Kilglass Gaels Lotto held on July 11th the numbers drawn were 2, 3, 22, 28 Bonus No, 21 There was no jackpot winner: There was one Match 3 number winner of €200, Christy Neary. Next week's jackpot is €11,400 for four correct numbers, €15,400 for four correct numbers plus Bonus Number. Next draw takes place in the clubrooms on Saturday, July 18th.

KILGLASS GAELS LADIES BONUS BALL

SYMPATHY 

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Margaret Hunt from Milltown, Castleplunkett who passed away on Friday, July 10th. Funeral Mass took place on Monday, July 13th in St. Paul’s Church Kilmurry with burial afterwards in Ballintubber Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

ROSCOMMON LGFA

It's all go within the county ladies football at the moment with the U-16's preparing to meet Laois in the AirNav Ireland All- Ireland U-16 'B' Championship final. Wishing the ladies the very best of luck for a great outcome on the day. Congratulations to the minor team and Intermediate team for both reaching the All-Ireland finals in their respective competitions. The minor game against Cork will take place in Tullamore on Saturday, July 25th at 4 p.m.. The intermediate game against Fermanagh will take place in Croke Park on Sunday, August 2nd. Wishing wish both teams the best of luck for victories and hopefully they bring home the silverware. Good luck to all ladies on the three teams contesting at All-Ireland level. Ros Comáin abú.
