The AGM of Ballaghaderreen Community Games will take place on Thursday, January 15th at 9 p.m. upstairs in the clubhouse at the Community Park. New members welcome.

Need a hand with your smartphone, tablet or laptop? A six-week basic computer course is taking place at The Shambles, Ballaghaderreen, starting this Tuesday, January 13th from 11-1 p.m.. This course offers friendly, practical support for anyone who wants to feel more confident using everyday technology. Running on Tuesdays from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., the course continues through to 2026 and is ideal for beginners. Participants can expect clear, step-by-step guidance on the basics — from using a smartphone or tablet, to getting to grips with a laptop, email, internet browsing, and day-to-day digital tasks.

First Holy Communion will be on Sunday, May 3rd at the 11.30 a.m. Mass. in Gurteen Church. There are 19 children from Carn National School this year.
Crib donations from the Churches in Gurteen parish will go to Aid to Church in Need both for Gaza and Nuns who care for orphans and refugees in Ukraine.
