With less than two weeks to go, excitement is building ahead of Tulsk’s appearance in the County Intermediate Final on Sunday, October 25th. The side face Eire Óg in the decider in Dr. Hyde Park at 2.30 p.m.. The side will be hoping to emulate the team of 2019 who recorded a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Oran in a replayed decider to capture the Jimmy Murray Cup. Following knock-out victories over Creggs and St. Dominic’s, the side are finely tuned ahead of their final but will be under no illusions as to the task that faces them. However the team’s appearance has brought a ‘spring in the step’ of residents ahead of the big day itself. Commiserations to the club's PB Networks sponsored St Mary's ladies team on their defeat to Four Roads in the Junior A County Final on Saturday. It was not to be on the day.
Commiserations to the St Mary’s Ladies footballers who produced a brave performance in their Junior A County Final against Four Roads in Ballyleague last Saturday. There was a large contingent of Tulsk supporters to cheer on the team. Despite a bright start, Four Roads slowly got into their stride and a late first half scoring burst, left St. Mary’s with much to do. The side battled bravely in the second half but their opponents had too much on hand against their opponents to triumph. Well done on the entire panel of players and management on reaching the final and producing many memorable performances along the way. The team represented the community with pride and honour last weekend which is to their immense credit.
