The life-sized Nativity Crib, a symbol of the season's joy, is a stunning addition beside Eight Til Late in The Square throughout the festive season. As you can imagine "Lighting Up" Roscommon for Christmas doesn't come cheap and the committee is hoping you could help out by making a small contribution for the greater good of the town. Training begins this evening, Wednesday, January 3rd at 7 p.m., continuing every Monday and Wednesday for eight weeks. The training fee does not cover the entry fee for the main event. The main event will feature 5K and 8K routes designed to accommodate both walkers and runners.
Roscommon Sports Partnership and Roscommon Co. Library are teaming up. Playground Stencils will be available for loan through Roscommon County Library. The Stencils are a fantastic way to promote active play. Playground Stencils encourage movement, creativity, and physical activity among young people, aligning with the guidelines set by HSE for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The Social Readers Group is meeting on the last Wednesday of each month in Roscommon Library at 2.30 p.m. for approximately one hour. All are welcome to come along and join in. Contact Ronan on 086 1765381 for more information.
Sincere thanks to Phil McLoughlin who organised a very successful craft fair for Christmas in Clooneycolgan Community Centre. Thanks also to those who prepared the centre, to those who presented tables and particularly to those who attended and purchased items. Nine hundred euro was raised by Phil for the centre. Winner of the hamper was Caitlín Conneally. Thanks also to those who organised the annual Christmas Bazaar in aid of the centre. Looking forward to your continued support in the New Year.
