Astronomy Ireland is asking the public to take pictures of the moon for publication in their magazine, which will be archived in the National Library of Ireland.

The partial eclipse will occur at 3.45am and 4% of the moon will be covered.

During a supermoon, the moon appears up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter compared with when it is furthest away.

A high tide advisory has been issued by Met Éireann which will stay in place until Monday evening
