In Northern Ireland, councillors are set to debate a proposal in November to change the name of Prince Andrew Way in the coastal Co Antrim town of Carrickfergus.

The Justice minister was commenting after an angle grinder was used to remove an Irish language section of a bilingual sign in east Belfast.

Police said a number of dual lingual street signs have been damaged in Beragh over the last two weeks.
