Police said it was a ‘frightening ordeal’ for the occupant of the van which was targeted in Coagh on Monday.

Brendan Conlan, from the Cookstown area, died following the collision in Coagh, Co Tyrone.

Mr Justice Humphreys also concluded that the operation was not planned in a manner which minimised the need for lethal force.
