Two men appeared in court in Dungannon on charges linked to the shooting of the senior police officer in 2023.

The prominent loyalist replied ‘not guilty’ when the charge was read to him in the dock of Belfast Magistrates’ Court.

A coroner said that he had been ‘prevented’ from delivering a summary of intelligence information around the deaths of four people killed in 1992.
