A yellow rain warning has been issued to Galway, Mayo, Clare, and Kerry, from 8 pm on Sunday to 8 pm on Monday.

Met Éireann has warned of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

The wind warning comes into force at midnight and will remain in force until 6am on Friday.

The forecaster said there will be poor visibility as a result, with difficult travelling conditions for the affected areas. 

There will be high spring tides with very strong and gusty southwest winds. 

Met Éireann said rain with heavy falls at times combined with already saturated ground.
