The 2.56 million tickets sold by MCD Productions were down 12 per cent on the promoter’s best-ever ticket sale performance of 2.92 million in 2024.

The MCD managing director said ticket sales for 2025 “are very good”, adding that Croke Park shows by Oasis and Robbie Williams, along with Electric Picnic, are sell-outs.

The gig is part of a newly announced global tour following his headline Glastonbury set, and features a four-night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

The Fender Stratocaster sold for £700,000 and a premium placed on the item brought the total to £889,400 (€1.069m).
