The government is to be presented with a review of a hypothetical scenario of an island-wide internet blackout.

Met Éireann’s Flood Forecasting Centre has been operational since early last year. It was developed as of a government wide approach to flooding in line with international best practices. 

Data shows that 10,067 adults and 4,419 children were accessing emergency accommodation during the last week of August.

In some cases, delays of up to four hours were reported following calls to the National Ambulance Service
