The All-Ireland Championship 2026 throws in this weekend

Any frost will clear early Saturday morning to leave a dry day with widespread spells of low winter sunshine. It may, however, turn a little cloudier across eastern areas into the afternoon.

It will be dry to begin on Saturday with a few bright spells early on in the east. However, it will become increasingly cloudy from the west, with rain and drizzle moving into west Ulster, Connacht and west Munster.

Saturday will be wet and blustery with rain spreading northeastwards across the country, turning heavy or thundery in places with localised flooding possible.

Temperatures could hit highs of 29 degrees in parts of the country today

Friday will be very warm or hot with top temperatures of 21 to 28 or 29 degrees.

Met Éireann is predicting mostly dry and warm conditions from early next week.
