The Government is doing ‘diddly squat’ to support working families with energy costs, Sinn Féin has said.

Party leader Mary Lou McDonald accused the government of abandoning households as they struggle to meet the rising cost of energy.

‘Your package today had to be dragged out of you and still you come to the table with half measures,’ Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald said.

The IDA briefing said that traditional drivers of investment like market access, tax, and talent were still important.

The survey also revealed a strong preference amongst Irish SMEs for green investments that reduce energy costs, such as solar panels and energy-efficient lighting.
