The man arrested in connection with this investigation is currently detained at a Garda Station in Southern Region.

Three vehicles, and a number of weapons, have also been seized.

Gardaí intercepted two vehicles shortly after 8.30pm in the Swords area of North County Dublin and also conducted a search of a residential premises in Shankill, Co. Dublin.
