After last year’s Scoping Inquiry predicted a vast scale of historical child sexual abuse in Irish schools, the Christian Brothers stood out, with the largest number of schools and the highest number of allegations.

Brendan Comiskey, who resigned following claims he failed to deal properly with child sexual abuse allegations, died on Monday aged 89.

Paul Dunleavy, with an address in Glen Road, Belfast, was found guilty in September of 36 charges of historical sexual abuse against nine boys.
