Justice Brian Cregan told Enoch Burke’s mother, Martina, and his sister, Ammi, that they could represent themselves or get legal representation for the hearing next Wednesday.

The court heard evidence on Thursday from a senior garda at the hearing of two actions brought against Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, arising from its failure to comply with court orders directing that it place the vulnerable minors in special care.

Mr Burke was brought before the High Court in Dublin on Wednesday.

Enoch Burke’s salary will go to Wilson’s Hospital School after a High Court ruling, with the judge warning family cars could be seized if trespassing continues.

A judge is to decide next week whether Enoch Burke should be sent back to prison for contempt of court.
