Spurs failed in efforts to sign the Brazilian winger at the start of last season, and the 22-year-old went on to endure a difficult campaign at Etihad Stadium, but he has now completed a move to north London in an £85m package, the Press Association understands.

Spurs, who could pay £10m in add-ons for the Brazilian, are still in talks with City over forward Omar Marmoush joining the north London club.

No agreement has been reached but negotiations are understood to be progressing.

Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush both struck from Foden passes in the first half before Savinho added a late third.
