Police figures show that racist hate crimes in Northern Ireland have reached record levels.

But PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Davy Beck said there was no intelligence to suggest it was sanctioned by the organisation’s leadership.

Police said they are investigating incidents in the city which they believe are linked.
