Large plumes of smoke have been seen coming from the top of the building, which is home to the James Connolly pub.

The boy was taken to the Mater Hospital, while gardaí have preserved the scene and carried out a technical examination.

The assault took place in the Rosie Hackett Bridge, Eden Quay area of Dublin 1 at around 4.30pm.
