The prosecution stems from inquiries by the Garda National Protective Services Bureau's (GNPSB) organised prostitution investigation and human trafficking specialist units.

Their arrests last week follow a law enforcement operation involving officers from Europol and the Brazilian Federal Police assisting the Garda National Protective Services Bureau (GNPSB) in Dublin.

They worked closely with the Department of Justice to identify, target and remove illegally resident Brazilians Nationals from the State, either on a voluntary return basis or by enforcement of a deportation order.
