The UK Prime Minister said the Labour Government’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill would be brought back to Parliament in the autumn.

The legislation would repeal and replace the controversial Legacy Act introduced by the previous Conservative government

In September, British and Irish leaders unveiled a joint framework to address longstanding legacy issues in Northern Ireland.

A Bill presented to the UK Parliament on Tuesday seeks to prevent the former Sinn Féin president from securing compensation for being detained in the early 1970s.
