Emily's father has revealed how the nine-year-old was led through gunfire in her pyjamas

Thomas Hand said his daughter has lost weight during her captivity but is ‘doing better than expected’.

Emily Hand had been held captive by Hamas since the October 7th attacks in Israel.

It comes as Tánaiste Micheál Martin travels to Egypt where the Rafah crossing is located.

Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin said he will be raising Emily’s case during a visit to Israel.

“I want to hug Emily again, love her, fix her,” Emily Hand’s father Thomas told reporters in Dublin.
