A man in his 30s has appeared before a court in Carrick-on-Suir charged with her murder.

The body of 81-year-old Noreen Daly was found at her home at Ardsallagh near Youghal Bridge on Monday.

Her body was taken to University Hospital in Waterford, where a postmortem examination will be carried out. The results of the postmortem will determine the course of the investigation.
