Alan Bourke, (48), of St Mary’s Park, Limerick, was fatally assaulted by Michael Casey, (40), of Cathedral Place, at Parnell Street, Limerick City, on April 15th, 2022.

It comes on the back of recent reporting of an unpublished investigation which found that overcrowding in the Limerick Emergency Department was a fundamental factor in the death of UHL patient Martin Abbott (65) from Shannon, in December 2019.
