Batista’s body was found at Blackrock, Co Cork, 12 hours after Rosa’s remains were discovered.

Gardai were treating Rosa’s death as murder and Batista’s death as suicide. It’s understood their relationship had broken down recently.

Around 12 hours later, 7pm on Friday evening, the body of the chief suspect, named locally as Judismar Weslei Batista, also from Brazil, was recovered near Blackrock Castle, Co Cork.
