An increase in the carbon tax will be under ‘further consideration in the Budget’, the Tánaiste has said.

Organisers say they want the government to further reduce excise duty on fuel and remove the carbon tax.

The changes will mean an additional €1.20 per full tank of 60 litres for motorists, according to Fuels for Ireland.
