Aisling Dolan has failed to get elected.

Ballinasloe Senator Aisling Dolan has fallen short in her Seanad election bid.

She was eliminated yesterday evening following the 14th count in the agricultural panel.

Finishing 19th and one of 28 candidates, she lost out in her bid to secure one of the 11 seats on offer.

Dolan had been a senator since 2020 when she was appointed by the then Taoiseach Leo Varadkar as one of the Taoiseach's 11 nominees.
