All-female top table points Roscommon GAA club in the right direction

GIRL POWER: Kilbride GAA Club Treasurer, Olivia Moran; Chairperson, Sandra Shanagher, and Secretary, Erica Feely at a recent club meeting.

Is this a first for County Roscommon?

While many clubs around the county have female officers as a chairperson, secretary or treasurer, is there a club where all three main positions are held by women?

If not, Kilbride GAA Club has made history as its top table is now filled by three female officers.

Sandra Shanager is club chairperson — the first female chairperson of the club — Erica Feely is secretary, and Olivia Moran is treasurer.

All three ladies have made a positive contribution to Kilbride GAA Club on and off the field over the years.

Now, for 2026 at least, they have been entrusted with the club’s three pivotal positions at executive level by members, highlighting the positive contribution women are making to GAA clubs around the county.
