Anger at further illegal dumping in the county

There is outrage and disappointment following another incident of illegal dumping in the county.

In Moore, South Roscommon, there was anger after the community found a major incident of fly tipping across the road from the Kilbegley Graveyard.

Moore Community Council believes the incident happened sometime between 6 pm and 10 pm yesterday evening, and is asking anyone with information to contact them.

“We would hugely appreciate hearing from you, however insignificant you think the information you have is,” the group posted on social media. “A lot of work has gone in to keep our community litter free, particularly by volunteers who give up their valuable free time. However, the level of this latest dump of household waste is a health and animal welfare issue as well as a general litter issue. It is very disappointing and disheartening.”
