The original copy of Tony Conboy's book detailing the history of the GAA in County Roscommon.

A historical account of the GAA in the county, often referred to as the Bible of Roscommon GAA, has been republished ahead of the Christmas market.

RosComáin, 101 years of Gaelic Games in County Roscommon 1889 to 1990 was compiled and edited by well-known GAA historian, Tony Conboy 33 years ago.

In conjunction with the Roscommon GAA History Committee, 150 extra copies of the book are being made available.

The original version, which contains 480 pages, was published in 1990 and went on to win a prestigious MacNamee award.

Often referred to as the “Bible of Roscommon GAA” owing to its precise history of GAA activities throughout the county, the reprint is a replica of the original version with no add-ons.
