County Roscommon legend, on and off the field, Chris O’Dowd will be one of the special guests on Friday night's Late Late Show.

The former minor footballer, who is now one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, will join host Patrick Kielty to chat about his remarkable career, his recent projects, including animated movie The Sheer Detectives, and making his long-awaited debut at Dublin’s Gate Theatre this summer.

He’ll also chat about his GAA career, which saw him return to his native Boyle to aid the Roscommon U-20 footballers’ preparations for last Wednesday’s 2-10 to 0-15 victory against Galway in the Connacht semi-final.

Pop icon, Melainie C, comedian Ardal O’Hanlon, architect Dermot Bannon and Irish chef Anna Haugh are also among the guests.
