Civic space lit up in gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Roscommon County Council its showing its support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by illuminating the civic space in Roscommon Town in gold from September 1st-10th.

Each year, approximately 375 children, adolescents and young adults are diagnosed with cancer in Ireland.

By lighting the Roscommon Town civic space in gold, the council says it stands in solidarity with children and families affected by cancer.

It remembers those who have sadly lost their lives, and helps raise awareness of the challenges faced by those living with a childhood cancer diagnosis.

The initiative also highlights the invaluable emotional, practical and financial support provided by Childhood Cancer Ireland, which works to assist children and families throughout their cancer journey.
