Clean-up operation after building is flooded

A clean-up operation is underway today, Friday, after internal flooding at a Carrick-on-Shannon building.
The Old Barrel Store building in Carrick-on-Shannon is understood to have suffered significant internal flooding.
After the alarm was raised earlier today, staff from leitrim County Council undertook a clean-up operation.
Owned by Leitrim County Council, the building houses the tourism information office and Leitrim tourism offices. In former times the building served as a Guinness facility and later on as Carrick Fire Station.
