Collision reported on major County Roscommon road
The accident is between Ballinasloe and Athlone on the M6 eastbound
A collision has been reported on a major County Roscommon road this morning (Friday).
According to the TII Motorway Operations Control Centre, there is a collision on the M6 eastbound between J14 Ballinasloe and J13 Athlone, which necessitated a full closure of the motorway for a time.
Emergency services were at the scene, and there were reports of major traffic delays in the area.
The road has since reopened.
