Council announces road closure for this week

A busy section of a regional road in the county is scheduled to close all this week to allow for paving works.
Roscommon County Council has as decided to temporarily close the Ballintubber to Castleplunkett road, the R367at Timanagh, with diversion via the L-1640, the L-1618, and R-377.
The closure is scheduled to run from today, October 13th to September October 18th.
There may be an increased likelihood of delays on these roads as a consequence. Emergency Services and local access only will be accommodated. The works are being managed by Roscommon Operational Area.
