Council closes regional road

The council is to temporarily close a regional road in the county to allow for improvement works.
Roscommon County Council said it has decided to temporarily close the R325 Clonard road in order to facilitate necessary road improvement works. The works will be carried out by the staff in the Castlerea Operational Area.
This closure will run from tomorrow, Wednesday 13th November until Wednesday 20th November. A diversion is in place via the R361/N5/293.
The council added that there may be an increased likelihood of delays on these roads as a consequence, and that emergency services and local access only will be accommodated on the R325.
