Council issues emergency road closure

The council has issued an emergency road closure as Storm Jocelyn continues to impact on the county.
In the last hour, Roscommon County Council issued an emergency road closure on the L7122 at Creevyquin to allow for a fallen tree removal.
Furthermore, earlier today the ESB said that there has been good progress on repairs to power lines in the county but still a number of outages remain.
In Castlerea, an ESB pole was reported this afternoon to be damaged near St Paul’s School causing electricity outages. The ESB has been contacted about this incident.
