Council warns that trees are down in multiple locations across the county
A fallen tree blocking the Castlerea to Loughglynn road.
Roscommon County Council has tonight advised people of the impact of Storm Isha across the county. With a status orange weather warning remaining in place until 2 a.m. on Monday motorists are advised to avoid making any journeys unless absolutely necessary.
Motorists are urged to drive with extreme care tomorrow morning (Monday) due to fallen debris on many route.
"Staff of Roscommon County Council are working extensively to resolve issues as they arise and are continuing to monitor the evolving situation. Once again the public are thanked for their co-operation and support," said the council.
The following is a guide to incidents which have been reported.
The R325 Castlerea to Loughglynn is currently impassable.
The R325 Loughglynn to Ballaghaderreen is also currently impassable.
There is a fallen tree on the R377 Castlerea to Castleplunkett road but the road is passable.
There is a fallen tree on the R326 Loughglynn to Ballyhaunis road though the road is passable.
The Tarmon road from Castlerea to Tarmon school is blocked at numerous locations.
The Castleplunkett to Kilmurry road is also blocked.
The N4 at Ardcarne on the west bound lane blocked due to a fallen tree which is being removed at present.
On the Keadue to Ballyfarnon Road two trees are being removed, however a portion of the road is blocked at Killronan Castle.
On the Ballymote to Boyle road a fallen tree has been cleared.
The Mountallen road has been cleared of fallen trees.
The Cootehall road has also been cleared of a fallen tree.
The Felton road to Killaraght has been blocked by three fallen trees.
The Cullfadagh Boyle road at Brishlagh is affected by a fallen tree.
The Croghan to Cortober road is currently being cleared.
The Kilmore road has been cleared of fallen trees.
There is a fallen tree blocking the Drum road at Woodenbridge near Boyle.
The Garrow road in Boyle blocked by Eircom pole down across the road - Eircom have been notified & road signs have been put in place.
