County Mayo road closed following serious road traffic collision

Gardai and emergency services are this evening at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in County Mayo.

The N17 between Claremorris and Knock is closed in both directions following the serious road collision earlier this evening.  It is understood that a number of people have been seriously injured.

The collision occurred at Rockfield. The road is currently closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed until early tomorrow. Local diversions are in operation.
