A County Roscommon business was targeted for the seventh time this year by burglars when they caused significant damage to the premises in the early hours of Monday morning.
Gardaí say that they are investigating a reported burglary at O'Connor's pub and shop in Tulsk village at around 4 o'clock yesterday morning.
Proprietor Eugene O'Connor, speaking on Joe Finnegan’s show on Shannonside Radio, said that the burglars had “no regard for the law”.
He pointed out that the premises was secured with bolts and alarms, but the brazen burglars used stones to break the windows entering the building with the alarms going off and causing significant damage as they ransacked the premises before fleeing.
Mr O’Conor confirmed that this was the seventh time the premises had been burgled this year. “They damaged a lot of stuff, they turned a lot of stuff over,” he said.
