County Roscommon playground to close for ‘number of weeks’

A popular playground in County Roscommon will be closed for a number of weeks, it has been confirmed.

The playground at Loughnanane Park, Roscommon Town, will close to facilitate a major refurbishment in the park.

Roscommon County Council has advised that the following playgrounds are open in the area — Hawthorn Drive, Portrun and Kilteevan — and has thanked the public for their co-operation.
