County Roscommon teenager a finalist in Miss Ireland Teen

A County Roscommon teenager is competing this weekend in the Miss Ireland Teen 2026 competition.

Mannat Puri (14) is a Second Year student at St. Nathy’s College, Ballaghaderreen.

She is one of the 20 contestants taking part in the 2026 edition of the younger version of Miss Ireland.

Mannat considers herself a creative, enthusiastic, and outgoing person. “I have a strong passion for arts and crafts, which allows me to express my creativity and explore new ideas. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, whether it’s having fun, sharing experiences, or creating memories together. One of my favourite activities is baking and cooking with my mum, which I find both relaxing and enjoyable,” she said.

She also has a love for adventure and trying new things. “I enjoy exploring different places, learning about new cultures, and stepping out of my comfort zone. Traveling with my family and experiencing new environments has helped shape my curiosity and open-mindedness.” Additionally, she has a strong interest in beauty and fashion.

Open to females aged 13 to 17 years, Miss Teen contestants undertake a training tuition programme covering aspects such social media training, social awareness, community initiatives, catwalk training, photoshoots and interview skills.

Over the course of several weeks finalists have been taking part in online and in person workshops with prizes being awarded in categories such as Sports, Talent, Eco Fashion, Top Model & Teen 4 Change, which highlights their community and charity projects.

The overall final will be held on Monday, May 4th in The Red Cow Inn, Dublin where two overall winners - Miss Ireland Teen Junior and Miss Ireland Teen Senior will be announced.

There are also two public voted winners which can be selected via the MI Org app which is available on all download platforms with FREE daily votes for users.
