County Roscommon woman appointed new deputy principal of Mayo school

Suzanne Lohan who has been appointed deputy principal of St. Colman’s College, Claremorris.
A County Roscommon woman has been appointed the new deputy principal of St. Colman’s College, Claremorris.
Suzanne Lohan succeeds Maria Byrne, who has become deputy principal at Calasanctius College, Oranmore Ms Lohan, originally from County Roscommon, attended Scoil Mhuire in Strokestown.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Professional Diploma in Education from NUI Galway. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in School Leadership from the University of Limerick.
With 21 years of teaching experience, Ms Lohan began her career teaching accounting, business, and maths at Ballinamore Community School, County Leitrim. She later taught at Ballyhaunis Community School and Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown.
She is looking forward to working closely with the principal, Roy Hession, the dedicated staff and students, and the entire school community.
