County Roscommon woman celebrates her 100th birthday
Eileen Cox who celebrated her 100th birthday at the Plunkett Community Nursing Unit in Boyle pictured with family members.
Celebrations took place recently at the Plunkett Community Nursing Unit in Boyle as Eileen Cox celebrated her 100th birthday.
Family, neighbours, friends, Canon Gerry Hanly and staff of the Plunkett CNU joined in the special celebrations.
Eileen and her twin brother were born on Holy Thursday, April 17th, 1924.
Owing to the death of her mother on Holy Saturday in that same week, her birth was registered on 19/04/1924.
Her twin brother also passed away two weeks after birth.
